BR 200 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a decent little blower I bought this blower in the spring of 2017 and i primarily use it for blowing grass off sidewalks. but of course i live in the northeastern area of the US and come the autumn and this little blower made very easy work of blowing major amounts of leaves from on side of my yard to the street or on to a tarp. My only complante of this blower that i wish that it had a bit bigger of an engine, so that i could easily blow wet leaves the kind that been stuck to the grass or mulch beds for a couple days. thats its only weakness!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is great for what it is intended for. I bought it to use at work to blow material and dust into a smaller area to be able to sweep up. We have a big floor with many machines and fixed air lines to get material out from under them. The only hard thing is that you can't blow it into a really small area because it blows it over to the area you have already done. So its a learning curve. I also needed an extention tube to blow out from under big machines because the lack of power. It has plenty of power in the open just not in large spaces under things, so I got by with taping a tube we had laying around on it and it worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This blower is great. I blow a lot of leaves in the fall and this blower is perfect! The BR 200 is very reliable and has plenty of power for residential use. A piece of the tube kept blowing off but i put a piece of duck tape on the end to stop it from sliding and that solved the problem. This blower is very tough and does not feel like its going to break. I love this blower! Great job Stihl!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use This is a quality built machine. I purchased others and returned them for various reasons. I was unwilling to spend a little more. Finally I broke down and said "invest a little more and get something you know will do what you want". So I did. Why the heck did I wait so long. Easy to start and operate. Very comfortable to have on your back. Plenty of power and low vibrations which was a problem with other machines. I am very happy with this blower and am hoping to keep it for many years to come. I highly recommend this blower to anyone that wants a quality driven product to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little known wonder Got this as a Christmas present to replace another brand gas hand held model that was struggling. I was a little concerned that it looks smaller than the "commercial" models and might not be powerful enough to get the job done, but was I ever surprised! This easily meets or beats the handheld I was using, and having it in a backpack form that is very light and easy to use knocked it out of the park! Have had no trouble blowing dry or wet leaves, pine straw and debris around the yard, driveway, pool, patio and sidewalks. It makes it even fun to do a cleanup chore! Would highly recommend this if you're looking at a handheld model, or need a backpack blower for residential use. Don't be worried about the power, it has plenty to get the job done around the house.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the home owner. Easy start every time. Light weight allows easy and safe movement on my roof. I use it for the roof, gutters, leaves and storm debris. Put the rake away, thed blwer does a better job and it is so much faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and easy to use! Bought this for my birthday in Janurary, nice and easy to operate and light weight. This is good for an average size home use yard work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very handy blower Great blower to have. Light and powerful easy to get around shrubs next to the house. Easy to start and runs hard. Would like to see a better padded shoulder strap with a breast strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of power I would take this backpack blower over ANY handheld blower on the market. It is as powerful as most backpack blowers twice the weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dandy homeowner backpac An excellent overall backpac blower for the homeowner with a modest sized yard. I am retired, and I'm experienced in professional lawn mowing. It starts very easily and handles well. I'm really impressed with this unit except it could have a bit more CFM and air speed. I can stand in the center of a 2 wide drive and blow to either side but cannot do the same on a 3 wide drive. With bigger units that I have used in the past, that is possible. On a 1/4 acre lot if I had a larger unit, I could cut my blowing time by about 3 minutes, and on 10 yards a day, that can add up. I did have an issue with the spark arrestor on the muffler, but that is a simple fix resulting in a little more RPM and air speed. I have used many brands over the years, but in my opinion and experience, Stihl is the only way to go. My trimmers and blowers are all Stihl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Produce I have owned this backpack blower for a year. Excellent product. It starts on the second pull everytime I use it. It lacks a little power compared to my previous handheld blower but not enough to downgrade it. The upside of having a backpack instead of holding the blower and your arm go numb outweighs the sligh loss in power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, Light & Powerful The BR200 is smaller & lighter than the larger, more powerful Stihl backpack blowers. While it does have less power than the larger heavier backpack blowers, it is still very powerful. It is more than sufficient for the tasks we have need of in blowing debris, leaves, grass clippings, etc as a homeowner. It is more than powerful enough for the blowing tasks we have around the house, clearing yard debris, & clearing the pool decking of 'stuff'. And it is extremely light. We looked a the larger Stihl backpack blowers & they are very, very nice, but are also much heavier. My wife wanted to be able to use our Stihl backpack blower, & the larger, more powerful models were really too heavy for her. The BR200 is light enough she can use it comfortably. For the average homeowner, I think the BR200 is more than sufficient.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pure Quality I previously owned an0ther name brand backpack and it lasted me 10 years. It was not the most powerful blower but kind of a intermediate unit. It was comfortable to the back and pretty easy to start. After hearing about the reliability of STIL , I decided to purchase the BR200 because of the weight of the unit and the price that was about the same as the other name brand 130BT. That part of the BR200 is great, but the blowing is far from being a useful tool. Also in comparison to my old Husky this unit is poorly constructed. I am sure the reliability is great and the service is exceptional, but all and all I wish I did not purchase this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product w One Minor Glitch Nice little blower. I have a large yard. Makes clean up after mowing a snap. Haven't used for fall clean up yet so we'll see how the power is for tons of leafs. This thing is so easy to start. Wish STIHl would use similar starting system for chainsaws. One glitch is that the blower hose keeps wanting to pop off the back pack. I've tightened it down once. If it continues, I will take it into the shop for a look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product exceeded my expectations. Made the clean-up of my yard a lot easier than in the past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good lightweight backpack for smaller yards I bought this Stihl backpack blower after my handheld gas-powered blower from another manufacturer failed. I wanted to get a backpack blower to replace it, but not spend a fortune or get something that was so huge that my wife would be unable to handle it if she wants to use it. This blower is a solid upgrade from a handheld. It's not the most powerful blower out there and it's not what you'll see on the trucks with the professional landscape crews. However, it is lightweight and can be stored easily--and it gives you the handsfree convenience of wearing it on your back. Given that we don't have a large yard, this is more than enough for 99% of the tasks we need to do. It starts reliably and runs true--more than I can say for my old blower. If you have a lot of acreage to maintain, consider a larger Stihl blower. However, if you need something for a more modest yard, it's hard to beat the BR 200's combination of reliability and convenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very easy to start I AM A 13 YEAR OLD KID AND HAVE SEARCHED AROUND FOR A NEW BACK PACK BLOWER AND I CHOSE A BR200 I CHOSE IT BECAUSE OF HOW LIGHT IT IS BUT HAVING IT FOR LESS THAN A YEAR. I JUST WISH IT HAD A LITTLE MORE POWER,BUT OVER ALL IT IS GREAT.I AM ALSO LOOKING IN TO BUYING A STIHL HEDGE TRIMMER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for home use. Love this blower. It's light weight and easy to start. Does the job as well as a larger blower. I use it on roof and all around the outside. I have owned several other blowers (backpack and hand held - gas and electric ), this one is the best for my use hands down. And have a repair shop local. ,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the price I've got 2.5 acres and lots of trees, I mow most of the leaves but blowing off sidewalks and places I can't mow this blower is awesome, plus if you use the synthetic oil it doubles the warranty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another excellent STIHL product I purchased this blower for leaves and acorns in my yard along with blowing snow off the drive way. Did an excellent job at both. Has enough power to move big piles of leaves but is noticeably less power than some of the higher end models. This is the perfect product for a homeowner who doesn't need all the extra power or want to pay the higher price tag for the professional models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, does what I need, and then some... I bought the BR 200 this fall for leaf cleanup duty. We get a LOT of leaves on our 1/2 acre lot, both from our mature trees and our neighbor's . My back is not the strongest and raking is out of the question. My primary considerations were power and the 12 lb. weight weight. I would have preferred the additional power of the BR 350, but my back didn't like the extra 10 lbs. when I tried one on at the dealer. It may have taken a little bit longer to clean up the leaves, but the BR 200 did what I needed and I am pleased with it. The 12 lb. weight is hardly noticeable. I climbed up a ladder and onto the roof with it on my back and quickly blew leaves out of the gutters. It didn't affect my balance at all and it really simplified this job. I think that 22 lb. BR 350 would have affected my balance to the point where climbing up a ladder with it on my back might not have been a good idea. Then came the use I did not consider when I bought it. The outside temperature is now in the mid-teens. When this happens the snow is light an fluffy and the snowblower just blows it up into your face. I had not winterized the BR 200 yet so I tried standing upwind and blowing off the driveway and the sidewalk with it. It worked great, cleared everything off much faster than shoveling, and did it with no effort. The lighter weight also was a big plus for walking in slippery conditions. Again, the weight didn't affect my balance and I could hardly notice it on my back. This use is strictly a bonus. I should add that it started just as easily at 15 degrees as it did at did when the temperatures were in the 60s - no difference at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BR 200 – Stihl - leave blower. To It May Concern:I have purchased number products from Stihl over the years. I have been very pleased with the performance from all of them. But this new, BR 200 – Stihl - leave blower is outstanding. Also, I am a Disabled Vietnam Veteran and have a difficult time walking and using my legs, arms and hands. Because, of the lightweight and fairly easy start system, I am able to use this blower with very little problem. The Stihl should offer veteran’s discount, they are a little pricey, but their products are worth it.Best regards,Gary MaznikRoaming Shores, Ohio

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Pleased Starts easy, runs well, uses very little gas, Does the job as desired,I have a full acre of land, lots of Fir trees and broad leaf trees, maple, walnut, cherry. The Broad leafs blow very easily, the fir needles are a lot tougher. I should have purchase a bigger blower because of the fir needles. This one works but more air power in my case would work better. All in all very pleased !!
